Plenary Speaker : Camp Theme

John 16:33 – I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!
I’m Michael William, an Inchian living in Bandar Sunway, PJ. I’m married to Wuey Ping and have 2 children, Debbie and Enoch. I graduated as a Chemical Engineer from University Malaya – during the times when Manchester United dominated the EPL lol.
I worked as an engineer for a year. Then, 25 years ago (yes I’m that old) I worked with the Fellowship of Evangelical Students for 12 years and then moved the the Methodist Church in Malaysia HQ as the National Youth Director for another 12 years. Last year I began a new journey in ministry. I now work specifically in the area of discipleship amongst the tribal groups in Sarawak, Perak and Pahang.
My passion is in reading and journeying with people in the Lord. In my free time though I’m an avid football fan and also constructing Lego sets.
Looking forward in meeting all of you.

Originally from SP, Kedah, Rev. Joanne Lee would say she’s almost a Malaccan having lived there for 36 years. She leads City Community Church in Malacca, describing the role as ‘accidental’, by taking the challenge of restarting the church that was closing down back in the early 1990s. The church has since been a ministering place for many Multimedia University students and youth work came naturally to Rev. Joanne. She has a Masters in Leadership Development from Bible College Malaysia (BCM) which she believes to be helpful in her interactions with today’s youth.
